Taxonomy
Leptopharsa antica was named by Golub and Heiss (2018). Its type specimen is CEHI DOM-TING-04, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Heiss Coll.), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
