Ara autochthones (Saint Croix macaw)
Taxonomy
Ara autochthones was named by Wetmore (1937). Its type specimen is USNM 343033, a limb element (left tibiotarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Concordia midden, which is in a Holocene terrestrial siliciclastic in Virgin Islands.
