Paleolepidopterites florissantanus
Taxonomy
Tortrix florissantana was named by Cockerell (1907). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant, Station 14, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
It was recombined as Tortricites florissantanus by Sohn et al. (2012); it was recombined as Paleolepidopterites florissantanus by Heikkilä et al. (2018).
