Lophotes elami
Taxonomy
Lophotes elami was named by Arambourg (1943). Its type specimen is MNHN F.EIP10, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Near Town-of-Ilam, which is in an Eocene/Eocene marine horizon in the Pabdeh Formation of Iran.
It was recombined as Protolophotus elami by Walters (1957).
