Taxonomy
Suchonica vladimiri was named by Golubev (1999). Its type specimen is PIN 4611/1, an osteoderm, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Poldarsa, PIN 4611, which is in a Severodvinian terrestrial marl in the Sukhona Formation of the Russian Federation.
