Taxonomy
Pharciceras oberscheldense was named by Bockwinkel and Korn (2013). Its type specimen is MfN MB.C.3620, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sahlgrund Mine, Oberscheld, which is in a Givetian marine ironstone in Germany.
