Taxonomy
Echinolichas parallelobatus was named by Fagerstrom (1961). Its type specimen is UMMP 36172, a cephalon/head, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 2.5 mi N of Formosa, highway road cut, which is in an Eifelian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks/lime mudstone in the Amherstburg Formation of Canada.
