Taxonomy
Echinolichas lucasensis was named by Stumm (1967). Its type specimen is UMMP 54149, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Silica Shale, unit 10, which is in a Cazenovian marine limestone in the Silica Formation of Ohio.
