Cyphaspis dabrowni
Taxonomy
Otarion (Otarion) dabrowni was named by Chatterton (1971). Its type specimen is ANU 17838, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a cast. Its type locality is Chatterton Loc. A, near Yass, NSW, which is in an Emsian marine lime mudstone/wackestone in the Taemas Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Cyphaspis dabrowni by Adrain and Chatterton (1996).

Preglabellar field very short; glabella strongly inflated, with narrow smooth band around anterior base, directly above preglabellar furrow; L1 very small; librigenal field small in area; eye tall; genal trunk swollen and inflated; faint furrow and tubercle row on dorsal aspect of long genal spine; pygidium with typical three segments bearing transverse tubercle rows, often partially effaced posteriorly. |
