Palaeoneumania atlanticus
Taxonomy
Atelelasma atlanticus was named by Neuman (1976). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Virgin Arm, which is in a Darriwilian carbonate limestone in the Cobbs Arm Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Neumania.
It was recombined as Neumania atlanticus by Bruton and Harper (1981); it was recombined as Neumania atlantica by Rubel and Popov (1994); it was recombined as Palaeoneumania atlanticus by Hansen and Harper (2005).
