Taxonomy
Dosinia (Kereia) numerosissima was named by Darragh and Kendrick (2010). Its type specimen is WAM 97.6a, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Merlinleigh Station, lower slope of mesa, which is in a Lutetian shoreface sandstone in the Merlinleigh Sandstone Formation of Australia.
