Taxonomy
Promicroceras (Leptomicroceras) cowapi was named by Edmunds et al. (2016). Its type specimen is OUM J75195, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Marston Magna, dsn nodule layer, which is in an Obtusum marine shale in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Promicroceras (Leptomicroceras).
