Taxonomy
Yvesgalleticeras proximus was named by Zakharov and Smyshlyaeva (2016). Its type specimen is DVGI 40/852, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kamenushka-2 section, sample 960-22, which is in a Spathian offshore siliciclastic in the Kamenushka Formation of the Russian Federation.
