Sycosaurus laticeps
Taxonomy
Sycosaurus laticeps was named by Haughton (1924). Its type specimen is SAM-PK-4022, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zuurplaats, Suurplaas, Graaff-Reinet (Dicynodon Assemblage Zone), which is in a Wuchiapingian/Changhsingian terrestrial horizon in South Africa.
