Taxonomy
Anisoceras reidi was named by Wright (1979). Its type specimen is BMNH C79487, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hill End Farm, Hitch Wood, which is in a Turonian offshore chalk in the Lewes Nodular Chalk Formation of the United Kingdom.
