Taxonomy
Insecutor spinifer was named by Wunderlich (2004). Its type specimen is Wunderlich F642/BB/AR/CJW, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber (Wunderlich collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
