Patagosuchus anielensis
Taxonomy
Patagosuchus anielensis was named by Lio et al. (2016). Its type specimen is MANE-PV 1, a partial skeleton (Cranial elements, dorsal vertebra, osteoderm and humerus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Baal Quarry, Lago Barreales [MUCP], which is in a Turonian/Coniacian terrestrial conglomerate in the Portezuelo Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Patagosuchus.
