Archaerhineura mephitis
Taxonomy
Archaerhineura mephitis was named by Longrich et al. (2015). Its type specimen is YPM-PU 18627, a mandible (Right dentary), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fritz Quarry, which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial horizon in the Fort Union Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Archaerhineura.
