Protolucanus jurassicus
Taxonomy
Protolucanus jurassicus was named by Nikolajev (2007). Its type specimen is PIN 3145/2679, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Anda-Khuduk 2 well, Ushgiin-Nur Mountains (PIN collection 3145), which is in an Aptian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Anda-Khuduk Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Protolucanus.
