Taxonomy
Nautilus angustus was named by Blanford (1861).

It was recombined as Angulithes (Cimomia) angustus by Wiedmann (1960); it was recombined as Kummeloceras angustus by Matsumoto (1983); it was recombined as Kummelonautilus angustus by Matsumoto (1984).
