Taxonomy
Porphyrops inclytus was named by Meunier (1907). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber, Konigsberg collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Systenites.
It was recombined as Argyra inclyta by Evenhuis (1994); it was recombined as Systenites inclytus by Grichanov et al. (2014), Grichanov (2023).
