Taxonomy
Xiphandrium splendidum was named by Meunier (1907). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Klebs collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Rhaphium splendidum by Evenhuis (1994); it was recombined as Systenites splendidus by Grichanov et al. (2014), Grichanov (2023).
