Taxonomy
Kovaleva (Kovaleva) fragmentosa was named by Krzemińska et al. (2009). Its type specimen is PIN 3015/1437, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Unda (PIN collection 3015), which is in a Tithonian lacustrine - small horizon in the Glushkovo Formation of the Russian Federation.
