Taxonomy
Trichocera corami was named by Krzemińska et al. (2009). Its type specimen is MNEMG 2005.67, a wing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Durlston Bay, Bed DB175, Swanage (MNEMG collection), which is in a Berriasian lagoonal siliciclastic in the Durlston Formation of the United Kingdom.
