Taxonomy
Neuroctenus incompletus was named by Wappler and Heiss (2006). Its type specimen is MNHM PE 1992/270a-LS, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Eckfeld Maar (NHMN 1992 collection), which is in a MP 13 crater lake siltstone/shale in the Eifel Formation of Germany.
