Aethephasma megista
Taxonomy
Aethephasma megista was named by Ren (1997). Its type specimen is GMCB HP96002(3), an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Shimen village, Yangshulin, Pingquan County (GMC Beijing collection), which is in a Barremian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Yixian Formation of China. It is the type species of Aethephasma.
