Taxonomy
Syspacephalus vapidus was named by Fritz (1972). Its type specimen is GSC 27455, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sekwi Formation - collection 73075, which is in a Cambrian marine limestone in the Sekwi Formation of Canada.
