Sylvicola cadaver

Taxonomy
Asarcomyia cadaver was named by Scudder (1890). Its type specimen is Packard 12, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Green River (Packard Collection), which is in a Bridgerian lacustrine - large diatomite/shale in the Green River Formation of Wyoming.

It was recombined as Anisopus cadaver by Edwards (1928); it was recombined as Sylvicola cadaver by Evenhuis (1994), Wojtoń et al. (2018).
