Taxonomy

Blaberiens was named by Saussure (1864). It is extant.

It was corrected as Blaberidae by Wappler (2003), Evangelista et al. (2017), Evangelista et al. (2019), Djernæs et al. (2020), Evangelista et al. (2021).

It was assigned to Blattariae by Brunner Von Wattenwyl (1865), Wappler (2003); to Blaberoidea by Evangelista et al. (2017), Evangelista et al. (2019), Djernæs et al. (2020); and to Orkrasomeria by Evangelista et al. (2021).

Synonyms

Gyna obesa was named by Piton (1940). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.R06689, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Menat (Piton collection), which is in a Selandian crater lake diatomite in the Menat Formation of France.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Evangelista et al. (2017).
Hongoblatta was named by Özdikmen (2008).

It was considered a nomen nudum by Özdikmen (2008).
