Taxonomy
Phyloblatta martynovi was named by Becker-Migdisova (1961). Its type specimen is PIN 742/109, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Zheltyi Yar (PIN collection 742), which is in a Gzhelian pond siliciclastic in the Alykaevskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Xenoblatta martynovi by Schneider (1978).
