Taxonomy
Caririderma pilosa was named by Martins-Neto (1990). Its type specimen is CV-5101, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Crato (Vulcano collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil.
