Taxonomy
Tingis quinquecarinata was named by Germar and Berendt (1856). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Berendt collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland.
It was recombined as Cantacader quinquecarinatus by Drake and Ruhoff (1960), Nel (1992); it was recombined as Paleocader quinquecarinatus by Froeschner (1996), Golub and Popov (1998), Wappler (2003).
