Grypoblattina robineti was named by Pruvost (1919). Its type specimen is Mus houiller de Lille 1788, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Liévin, pit 3, bowette 337, which is in a Westphalian D terrestrial siliciclastic in France.
