Taxonomy
Saldomortalia hyalina was named by Popov (1988). Its type specimen is PIN 3063/188, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Daya locality (PIN collection 3063), which is in a Tithonian terrestrial horizon in the Glushkovo Formation of the Russian Federation.
