Harpacochampsa camfieldensis
Taxonomy
Harpacochampsa camfieldensis was named by Megirian et al. (1991). Its type specimen is NTM P87106-1, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 25 km southeast of Camfield Homestead, which is in a Miocene fluvial-lacustrine conglomerate in the Camfield Beds Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Harpacochampsa.
