Etoblattina henneni was named by Meunier (1914). It is an impression. Its type locality is Commentry (MNHN later coll), which is in a Gzhelian lacustrine deltaic shale in the Commentry Shales Formation of France.
It was recombined as Phyloblatta henneni by Handlirsch (1920), Handlirsch (1922).
