Sojanoscytina ramosa was named by Becker-Migdisova (1960). Its type specimen is PIN 1182/94, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Soyana (Iva Gora, PIN collection 94), which is in a Roadian lagoonal siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
