Cretaceometra brasiliensis
Taxonomy
Cretaceometra brasiliensis was named by Nel and Popov (2000). Its type specimen is MCSNM i9556, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Crato (MCSNM collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Cretaceometra.
