Taxonomy
Palaeontinodes reshuitangensis was named by Wang and Zhang (2007). Its type specimen is NIGP 143707, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Wubaidingyingzi, Reshuitang Village, which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Daohugou Formation of China.
