Taxonomy
Calisius balticus was named by Usinger (1941). Its type specimen is MCZ 4634, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber (MCZ collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
