Taxonomy
Mesitoblatta nodulata was named by Bolton (1934). Its type specimen is BGS 52733, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Cefn Coed colliery (1302 feet depth), which is in a Westphalian B delta plain shale in the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Brachymylacris nodulata by Durden (1969); it was recombined as Sooblatta nodulata by Schneider (1983), Jarzembowski and Schneider (2007).
