Archaeoctonus glaber
Taxonomy
Eoscorpius glaber was named by Peach (1883). Its type specimen is GSE 5858 and is a compression fossil. Its type locality is River Esk, 5 miles south of Langholm, which is in a Chadian marine siliciclastic in the Cementstone-Sandstone Series Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Archaeoctonus glaber by Pocock (1911), Petrunkevitch (1949), Petrunkevitch (1953), Kjellesvig-Waering (1986), Dunlop et al. (2013).
