Taxonomy
Mongoaphis oblivia was named by Kania and Wegierek (2013). Its type specimen is PIN 3559/7326, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bon Tsagaan (PIN collection 3559), which is in an Aptian lacustrine siliciclastic in the Dzun-Bain Formation of Mongolia.
