Taxonomy
Ammotibetites parawheeleri was named by Krystyn (1982). Its type specimen is GBA 1979/05/17/1 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jomsom A, bed 86, which is in a Lacian deep subtidal marl in the Mukut Formation of Nepal.
