Stantoniella cretacea
Taxonomy
Stantonia cretacea was named by Handlirsch (1906). Its type specimen is USNM 35389, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Willow Creek, which is in a Campanian/Campanian terrestrial shale in the Judith River Formation of Montana. It is the type species of Stantonia, Stantoniella.
It was recombined as Stantoniella cretacea by Handlirsch (1907).
