Taxonomy
Forcipomyia (Lasiohelea) succinea was named by Szadziewski (1988). Its type specimen is ZMC 188, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Danish Amber (University of Copenhagen ZMUC, NHMD Collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Denmark.
