Taxonomy
Amesorhaga quadrispinosa was named by Negrobov and Selivanova (2003). Its type specimen is PIN 364/255, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber (PIN collection 364), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Lithuania.
It was recombined as Wheelerenomyia quadrispinosa by Grichanov (2008), Grichanov (2023).
