Phryganeidium pytho
Taxonomy
Phryganeidium pytho was named by Westwood (1854). It is an impression. Its type locality is Durlston Bay, Lower Purbeck, Swanage (Brodie coll.), which is in a Berriasian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in the Lulworth Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Phryganeidium.
It was recombined as Mesotrichopteridium pytho by Handlirsch (1906).
