Taxonomy
Burmorthezia insolita was named by Vea and Grimaldi (2012). Its type specimen is AMNH Bu-1095, a nymph, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (AMNH collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
