Taxonomy
Scepasma mediomatricorum was named by Brauckmann and Becker (1992). Its type specimen is GMS D/1001, a wing (parts of Mesothoracal & Metathoracal wings), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Saarland (exact locality unknown), which is in a Westphalian C lacustrine - small shale/coal in the Saarbrücken Formation of Germany.
